OMNIpac has a diverse range of equipment, which allows the company to manufacture a wide variety of industrial polythene packaging products. This variety and a commitment to customer satisfaction, enables the company to manufacture relatively short runs of customised plastic products. We have a well-equipped engineering department that can often modify the equipment to suit customer's specific requirements.

Below are a number of OMNIpac's main Industrial Products:

Shrink-wrap film is manufactured from low-density polythene and applied in either sleeve-wrap form i.e. where two rolls of plastic sheeting are used or in complete sealed form that uses centre fold sheeting and an "L" sealer to form the wrapping of the package. In manufacturing the plastic sheeting, a memory, is incorporated into the plastic, designed to suit the configuration of the package. As the wrapped package is conveyed through a heated tunnel, the plastic softens and the incorporated memory draws the plastic tight around the package.

With a sleeve wrap, openings are left open on two sides of the package. By designing the width of the plastic and the ratio of shrinkage to suit the dimensions of the package, a secure wrap is ensured.

The percentage shrinkage is either the lengthwise direction (machine direction or MD) or across the film (transverse direction or TD).

OMNIpac manufactures plastic tubing and sheeting in roll form in any width from 40 mm lay flat up to 1600 mm lay flat using either low density, medium density, high density or linear low density polyethylene material.

This product is used for the general packaging protection of bright steels and aluminium sections, and varied industrial applications.

Interleaf sheeting is available in various thicknesses and materials, either as a flat sheet or with centrefold, on a roll, in separate sheets or perforated lengths on a roll.

OMNIpac has several types of bag-making machine; each designed to perform a specialized task, allowing customised bags of different constructions to be manufactured to our customers' specific requirements.

Our Industrial range incorporates:

• Side welded plastic bags in sealed-through style incorporating a side fin and thick seal for heavy-duty bags.
• Bottom welded plastic bags for ultra thin films of 15 microns thickness and heavy-duty bags up to 250 microns thick. These bags can be supplied separately or as bags-on-a-roll with perforations.
• Double end welded plastic bags
• Punched plastic bags to allow airflow
• Micro-Perforated plastic bags
• Several styles of punched handle bags.

Low-density polythene sheets placed on top of, and sometimes beneath, the load on a pallet for protection against dust and dirt contamination. The load is then stretch-wrapped onto the pallet.

Plastic sheets can be supplied either loose or perforated on a roll and designed to suit the size of the customer's pallet. The pallet covers can be either centre-fold or lay-flat according to preference and coloured to prevent exposure of the pallet contents.

OMNIpac manufacturers low micron, gusseted plastic film for use in the dry cleaning industry. These thin films are also used in maintaining the cleanliness of hire equipment such as chairs, tables, crockery, glassware and cutlery.
